School Board

The Lynnville Sully school board is composed of 5 members elected at large to 3 year terms. Board meetings are held the third Monday of each Month in the HS Conference Room at 7:00 p.m. To request inclusion on the agenda, contact Superintendent Duane Willhite in writing at PO Box 210, 12476 Highway F62 East, Sully Iowa, 50251, or by e-mail at willhite@lynnville-sully.k12.ia.us. Requests to be included on the agenda must be submitted 7 days in advance and should state the reason for appearing before the board.

The Lynnville-Sully Board of education enjoys a very open relationship with patrons and promotes that openness with opportunities to speak at public forum every month. They also provide opportunities for community patrons to be involved in the school improvement advisory committee (SIAC) which meets three times per year.

Attempts to resolve complaints on personnel issues should move through the chain of command and can only be heard by the board in closed session, at the request of the employee involved. It is our hope that the district administrative team can handle most complaints and that all patrons feel free to become involved in the school and to have their opinions be heard. It is only through community involvement and cooperation that our district can become the best it possibly can at providing a meaningful, quality education for our students.
